Problem

A major chemical company began experiencing high bearing temperatures on their compressors. This threatened an unplanned shutdown which would compromise their production demands. They needed to extend the life of their in-service oils while maintaining healthy production outputs.

Solution

With the help of Ocean Team Qatar, a Petrotec company, an in depth analysis of the oil was conducted and this showed that high MPC levels were common with this equipment. Fuitec’s VITA ESP III unit was connected to these machines and afterwards Fluitec’s DECON was also added at a 3% treat rate. This effectively reduced the soluble and insoluble deposits. Additionally, the bearing temperatures were also drastically reduced.
